How to unlock 1200mw on DJI FPV SYSTEM

Unlocking this feature might damage your DJI Air Unit. This unlock is not recommended by DJI.

Before you do this, you have to unlock 700mw.

That said. I’ve been using this ‘hack’ for some weeks now and I haven’t had any issues. I’m living in a cold country, Norway. That might help on cooling down the Air Unit.

I haven’t been using this “hack” for a long time so I can’t tell what effect this will have on your Air Unit in the long term. I tend to only use 1200 mw when I really need the extra punch. If I’m just doing freestyle in the park I wont use 1200 mw.

How to unlock 1200 mw

Here is how you unlock the 1200 mw option on your DJI FPV SYSTEM.

  1. Connect a micro SD card to your computer.
  2. Format it in windows.
  3. Open notepad. Type “pwr_2” in the file.
  4. Save the file as “naco_pwr.txt” on the root dictionary of your SD card.

Put the SD card inside your DJI Air Unit. Power it up and wait for 10 seconds.

Power up your DJI FPV Goggles.

Go to:
Menu -> Settings -> Device -> Max Power

There should now be options for 25 mw, 100 mw, 200 mw, 500 mw, 700 mw, 1000 mw and 1200 mw.

If you only want the 1000 mw option and not the 1200 mw. Type “pwr_1” in the text file instead of “pwr_2”.

naco.txt not work for me
Uk version

Bob

Dude, you put the SD card in the goggles, NOT the air unit!

Doug

yup. Unless you’re unlocking fcc mode and the bitrate. Type naco as text file name. Put a 1 in it. Put in air unit.
